Grumble

Commentary:

See, when they’re talking you’re supposed to just make up sounds that match the length of the word balloons. I’ve done a few that have no dialogue even though people are shown talking, but that’s just because I’m lazy and didn’t feel like coming up with dialogue. I never write out the dialogue beforehand, and only make it up after having drawn the comic, the way Stan Lee used to do it with his artists. But if you just skip over the dialogue completely you miss out on the rhythm the comic is supposed to have. So even if you can’t read it you’re supposed to “read” it, you know? You can get that the random mumbling sound in your head is supposed to be louder when Red is impersonating Yellow there. And you have to do that. Or you’ve ruined everything. Absolutely everything.
