Commentary:

Yellow’s still spreading gossip. Man, there is something wonky going on with the line art here. It’s usually rough and the characters are never on-model, but this one is a little rougher than usual. I don’t know why I draw the panel borders so sloppy, but I’ve been doing it for close to 800 pages now, so I guess I should keep going.

I draw the comic in Flash because I like the way the lines come out in Flash, and I haven’t been able to find another program that makes them the way I like. The actual shape of the comic, the 3×2 ratio, is based on the shape of the Flash window I work in. I then take the line art into Photoshop to color and letter it. This page has a little fancy crazy coloring with the yellow glow of the hole, but most of these early comics had very simple coloring.
